History
Environmental Automation, evolved from the Controls Division of Thos Clark and Son, a major air conditioning contractor, in the early 1980s. The company was known as T.C. Technologies until 2003, when it was acquired by the Advanced group and changed its name to Advanced Building Automation Systems. In February 2007, the Advanced group was acquired by the ARA Group and Advanced Building Automation Systems became Environmental Automation.

Atrium Building Management and Security/Access Control System
The EA “technical services solution” features the ATRIUM integrated control and monitoring system. The essential elements of this system are its integrated automation and security monitoring panel, based on a robust microprocessor with Microsoft Windows embedded operating system. The ATRIUM system can link all access control and automation controllers and monitoring points to a single Ethernet Cat5 ready panel that can be networked at a local or wide area level. This panel is securely located and battery backed for up to eight hours in the event of mains supply failure.
The operating programs within the ATRIUM panel allow maximum flexibility for monitoring and controlling Air Conditioning, Fire System, Lighting, Plant, Electrical, Intruder Detection, Access Control and CCTV. The integrated database and web-services architecture allows simple yet powerful relationships to be set up between services, such as integrating movement sensing with intruder detection, air-conditioning and lighting controls, all via easy-to-use web based tools.
